We Love Thy House, O God

  Cameron Joel Rose, arr. (2002)
SATB, organ

Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. (Psalms 26:8)

Whether on Mount Sinai where the Lord requested Moses remove his shoes, or within the sanctity of the home of the faithful, a "house of prayer" where the "word of life" is taught, and lived, and loved, can be the Lord's house, where his spirit is invited and present. For those who are his servants, the Lord promises to greet "his chosen flock" in the most holy places and be in their midst. The undulating organ accompaniment in this arrangement may additionally represent the waters of life in this smooth and effective setting of the traditional Robertson hymn. (Catalogue: PM1002)
